Welcome to Livingston Parish Public Schools!

The Livingston Parish Public School System serves over 26,000 students ranging from Pre-K through grade twelve. We continually strive to upgrade our schools to provide a climate that enhances learning. Our instructional programs and other related programs and services are focused to meet the needs of our student population and the requirements of the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Top 3 Students – Those students selected to represent Livingston Parish in the 2019 Student of the Year competition include, left to right, Elementary Student of the Year Collin Sprouse, a fifth-grader at South Walker Elementary; High School Student of the Year Cade Canepa, a senior at Live Oak High School; and Middle School Student of the Year John Bergeron, an eighth-grader at North Corbin Junior High. All three competed at the regional level, and Sprouse advanced to be a state finalist in the state’s elementary division.

More than 200 school bus drivers, mechanics and other transportation employees attended the first-ever transportation department appreciation luncheon by Livingston Parish Public Schools. The event was held in the transportation building behind the central administration building in Livingston.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular meeting of the Livingston Parish School Board scheduled for July 4, 2019, has been rescheduled.  The meeting will convene at 5:00 PM, Thursday, July 11, 2019.  The special meeting of the Livingston Parish School Board scheduled for July 18, 2019, has been cancelled.

The Livingston Parish Public Schools’ Pupil Progression Plan, as revised for the 2019/2020 school session, will be available for public inspection from June 5, 2019 – June 19, 2019. The plan may be viewed at the Livingston Parish Public Schools’ website, www.lpsb.org. Comments from the public relative to the content of this plan are to be emailed to Dawn Rush, Director of Curriculum at dawn.rush@lpsb.org no later than 4:00 PM on June 19, 2019.
